Lyrical Healing

The power of lyrics is immeasurable. The words can cut through hearts, mend broken wounds, bring untold comfort and uplifting of our spirit.
Throughout this year I have seen and felt the power of music. When I was broken He music healed me. When frustrated, it brought motivation. When angry it showed me the mercy of God. When lost it showed me light. When sick it brought strength to my body.
God is working into our hearts. In many ways. I have discovered one: Music 🎼🎹🎶. Through music God speaks directly to me. He tells me not to worry, shows me my faults and brings so much gladness to my heart.
The Holy Spirit brings a song to my heart and when i sing it it brings an activation of my spirit man.
I'll share one of the ways in which music has brought lyrical healing to me. My junior WAEC (West African Examination Council) was only a few weeks to commence. i began to fall sick critically. I would have eye pains and continually run a fever. this broke me both physically and spiritually. I became easily angry and frustrated and it was like all my faith had melted away.
I felt that way and i regretted every action that i took, as i saw ever activity I partook as a waste of time. i tried to read every possible minute I had, but nothing went my way. I refused to do anything else but read and continued to put my body under unnecessary stress. I would strain my eyes reading in the dark until almost midnight and it seemed like nothing to me. all this weakened both my social and biological relationships.
as the exams became nearer, fear encrypted me. I became sorrowful and cried practically every night.
Then the Lord gave me an instruction. each time I read I played music- as led by the Spirit. It brought such comfort and motivation tom my heart. i slowly began to see my faults. I would condemn myself and always continue to do things my way, forgetting that there is only one way.

John 4;16: Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth and the life, no one cometh to the father but by me.

I started to ask Jesus to guide me and  I learnt to trust him. By the grace of God what came out during the exams were what God lead me to read.

The are three main points that I am trying to make by telling you these story

  • There is power in music, so be careful the kind of music you listen to. Proverbs 4:23: carefully guard your heart for they are the source of life.
  • When things that the enemy is planning against you begin to work, it means you are wrongly positioned. position yourself in the word of God.
  • God is with you every step of the way, even when you do not realise it, planing ahead of you.
  • call out to God anytime you are in trouble. Isaiah 58:9: Then you shall call, and the Lord will answer; you shall cry, and he will say, "here I am"

Note: The term lyrical healing isn't something I just made up, it has existed ever since. proof? read the bible and see how Saul is delivered from his demonic attacks. through the playing of the harp by David.
